Here are some safe, easy fixes to some common problems:

Hiccups or hiccoughs: At the onset of symptoms, take your thumbnail and press it in the tip of your index finger for five seconds, release, then press for one second, then release and press again five times.
Next press your thumbnail on the tip of your middle finger for the same times. If no relief, begin on the other hand, the go back to the first hand for up to six repeats per hand.
If your hiccups stop, stop the treatment, continuing could cause them to return.

Headache, other than migraine: As soon as you realize you have a headache, put the tip of your tongue lightly behind your upper front teeth, in the little dip on your palate; take your thumbnail or other non-sharp pointed object (a paper clip) and press on the acupoint LI4 (Hegu). This is located by putting your palm down on a flat surface, and pulling your thumb towards the index finger. The highest part of the muscle near the base of your thumb is LI 4. Press for ten to fifteen seconds, release the press for one second, release and press five times.
Then do the same procedure at point LI 11. This point is found by bending your arm at 90 degrees, and the most lateral (away from your body) part of the crease on the inside of your elbow is point LI 11.
Repeat this procedure at point LI 15. This is one finger's width below the the indentation you feel just lateral of the forward point of your shoulder. It is on the middle deltoid muscle.
Repeat this again on point DU 20. This is the point on the top of your head on the center line, directly in line with the tips of your ears.
Next, take both thumbs and rub the GB 20 points, the hollows just below the occiput on either side of the spine at the base of your skull for about 30 seconds.
If needed, repeat the whole sequence on the other side of your body.

Sneezing: Take your thumb's pad and press it to point DU 26, just below your nose between your nose and upper lip, press your index finger to point LI 20, which is lateral to your nostril in the groove next to your nose. Have your palm up so that if you are using your right hand, the nail side of your index finger is pressing LI 20. The point LI 1 is on your index finger, next to the base of the nail on the thumb side of your finger. Press until the sneezing stops.

Take in a slow deep breath and press just in front and behind DU 20 with your index and ring fingers. Turn your hand so that the index and ring fingers are either side of DU 20, press and exhale, blowing out your breathe and take you fingers off your head. Repeat this on the other side of your body if still tense. Do not repeat more than twice per side.

More to come.
